  1. Introduction

Welcome to ASL Champs (“we,” “us,” or “our”). 1. No Recording of Live (Zoom) Sessions

To protect student privacy — including minors — and copyrighted instructional materials:

Recording, photographing, screenshots, or audio capture of any live Zoom session is strictly prohibited.

Students may not:
    •    Record their screen
    •    Use Zoom’s recording function
    •    Use third-party recording tools
    •    Ask others to record for them

Violation of this rule is grounds for immediate removal.

  1. Behavior & Conduct

ASL Champs is an ASL-immersion and culturally respectful learning environment.
Students must:
    •    Be respectful to instructors, students, and community members
    •    Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
    •    Follow Zoom/live session etiquette
    •    Use ASL appropriately and avoid disruptive behavior

Harassment, bullying, discriminatory language, or inappropriate conduct will result in removal without refund.

  1. Payments & Refund Policy

Payments

Payment is required at the time of enrollment. Access to courses begins once payment is completed.

Refunds

Due to the digital nature of the content and limited class sizes, all sales are generally non-refundable.

Refunds may be considered at the instructor’s discretion in cases of:
    •    Duplicate payments
    •    Administrative errors
    •    Special documented circumstances

Refund requests must be sent within 7 days of purchase.

  1. Class Access & Course Duration
        •    Each course purchase ($100) includes 8 weeks of structured content with 3 months of access. Course access may be extended via a SIGNbase subscription ($15.99/month)
        •    ASL Champs reserves the right to modify course content for improvement or accessibility.
        •    Access to SIGNbase requires an active subscription.

  1. Technology Requirements

Students are responsible for:
    •    A stable internet connection
    •    A working webcam and microphone
    •    A device capable of viewing video content clearly
    •    Keeping login credentials secure

ASL Champs is not responsible for individual device issues.

  1. Privacy & Data Protection

We respect your privacy. ASL Champs collects only the information necessary for:
    •    Account creation
    •    Enrollment
    •    Communications (email, reminders, class updates)
    •    Course progress tracking

We do not sell or share your personal information.
Zoom sessions may display your name or video to other students. By participating, you consent to this limited visibility.

  1. Minors in Classes

Because ASL Champs allows minors in group classes:
    •    Students must behave appropriately
    •    No inappropriate language, clothing, or behavior
    •    No recording is permitted
    •    Parents/guardians understand that minors will appear on camera in a closed group setting with a qualified instructor

Students engaging in unsafe or inappropriate behavior will be removed.

  1. Course Changes & Cancellations

We reserve the right to modify or cancel classes, adjust schedules, or update course structure.

In the rare event ASL Champs cancels a course, students will be offered:
    •    A credit toward another course, or
    •    A refund

Administrative cancellations are extremely rare.

  1. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to remove or suspend access if a student:
    •    Violates any copyright rule
    •    Records or shares content
    •    Harasses or harms others
    •    Engages in illegal or unethical behavior
    •    Fails to follow ASL Champs community guidelines

No refund will be given in cases of misconduct.
